Obituary of Shirley Patricia Powers
With shattered hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Shirley — a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend — who left us on on June 30, 2025, surrounded by love.
From the time we were little, the thought of losing her was our greatest fear. She wasn’t just loved — she was love in its purist form. Her strength, her warmth, and the way she could make you feel like the only one in the world when she looked your way — that was her gift to us all.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth and Caroline, and her grandchildren, Brooke (Carter) and Tanner (Sarah), who loved her more than life itself. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Savannah, Reese, and Shane. She leaves behind her dearest sisters, Edna (Pat) and Marlene. Shirley is now reunited in heaven with her beloved son, Mike, and her husband, Tom — both of whom she missed deeply. She also joins her parents, Constance and Theodore Lean, and her siblings Mona, Raymond, Gerold, and Harold.
Shirley carried a calm strength that grounded everyone around her. She was the one you turned to in joy, in heartache, and in everything in between — always ready with open arms and a listening heart. She was our rock.
A celebration of her life will be held at Clayton’s funeral home, details to be determined. All who knew and loved her are welcome to join us as we honor the beautiful soul we were so lucky to call ours.
Forever loved. Forever missed.
