Obituary of Joseph James Denis Cote

In Memory of Denis Cote.

June 5, 1933 - November 22, 2018

His family  announce the sudden passing of Denis at his home after a very brave battle with cancer.

He is predeceased by his parents, Rolland and Louise (Mallais) Cote, brother Louis Cote and sisters, Gisele and Denise (Grenier), and his stepdaughter, Holly Austin.

Survived by his wife, Faith Austin, his sister Suzanne (Spink), daughter Christine (Raymond) Parent, and stepchildren Heather (Norm) Pearson, Jeff (Jo Anne) Austin, and Jamie (Maria) Austin.

Also survived by his grandchildren Lorenzo, Isabelle, Theresa (Nick), Deanna, Vincent, Sarah, Jenika, and Katie, and great grandson, Oliver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins.

Denis was very grateful for the care and support he recieved from Faith's children, with a special thank you to his nephew Donald and wife Huguette (LaFrance) Grenier who cared for him to the end.

Born in Smoth Rock Falls, Ontario. He worked in the paper industry all his adult life, both in Smooth Rock Falls and Quesnel BC, as a Millwright until his retirement.

Denis loved to be surrounded by family. He loved all his grandchildren. He LOVED his dogs like no other. He loved to eat, to laugh, and to skate, but mostly Denis loved to tell stories. He had more stories than anyone else we knew!

He will be missed by all his friends and family who cherished his industrious nature and joie de vivre.

A memorial tea is planned for Denis Cote on Saturday January 19th. 1:00-3:00 PM At St. Andrews United Church-upper Hall. Drop in. Share some tea and a story.
