Our sincerest sympathy Dawn, Darcy and families on the loss of your mother and grandmother. Shirley, Norma & Gwen were the cousins that my brother Don and I were closest too during our childhood years. We were the only Therres grandchildren that lived in the Nipawin area so saw quite a bit of each other as our parents visited back and forth. We spent many happy hours playing 'cowboys and Indians', kick the can, anti-I-over etc. until it was too dark to see. Shirley and I were the oldest so, much to Norma's chagrin we got to be the cowboys while her and Don were always the Indians!!! I don't know why Uncle Albert & Aunt Ethel sold their partly finished house to mom & dad, but they did and it was that house which both families owned that we spent hours and hours of our youth in and throwing the ball over the roof of playing anti-I-over. After Shirley & Peter were married and moved to Quesnel we didn't see much of them because of the physical distance between. Carol, Brett, Connie and I visited them once about 1980 and Peter & Shirley visited me once in 1991. Although we talked on the phone occasionally we haven't seen each other for over 20 years. I was shocked when Norma phoned me with the news of Shirley's passing and I am still in shock. Though we didn't see each other much we were cousins and were close as children. My deepest sympathy. Bob.
