Cornelis Dirk Kuyper
"Dick"
November 19, 1941 ~ August 26, 2019
Dick was born in Den Haag, Netherlands on Nov. 19, 1941. He moved to Canada in 1966 and worked as a pipefitter in Woodfibre, Squamish for many years. In late 1979 he moved his family to Quesnel, where he spent many years working at Cariboo Pulp & Paper Company. He bought some property for his children to grow up on, where they could climb trees and enjoy the fresh air.
Very much a loner at heart, his family meant everything to him.
He is mourned by his wife of 45 years, Doreen; his children, Catherina and Rose (Bill); Lanaya (Michael), Derek (Bobby Jo) his foster son, Alvin (Rachel) Reid; and his foster daughter, Diana
His grandchildren, Bailey, Symone, Tristen, Travis, Madison, Anthony, Kody, Taran, Stone, Nyla and Cassie, and his great grandchildren.
In the Netherlands, he is mourned by his sister, Hennie (Wim); nieces, Saane (Ro), Natascha (Rene & Troy); nephew Ed (Mieke) and their children Danielle and Micheal.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Kos, and sister-in-law Gien,aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4196 Garner Road on September 21st from 1-4p.m..
