Al's legacy lives on! He is the whole reason my daughter and I watched Yukon Gold. A truly great source of strength in the face of adversity. Thankyou to his family for sharing him with the world. He will be missed.

I just found out about Big Al”s passing. I really enjoyed watching him on the Yukon Gold show. He enjoyed what he did. He loved he’s wife , so sorry to hear he passed. I always liked he’s attitude toward everything. He didn’t get upset with people, he just took one day at a time. God Bless you Al. Thanks for the memories.

I am seeing and learning this, today 8/9/2023, and it's almost appropriate that the already somber day I've had be joined by this. One of My heroes, Jerry Garcia passed away this day in 1995. Big Al has been an inspiration to me since I first started watcching Yukon Gold. His ability to shrug off disappointment and adversity and do it with that genuine laugh and smile. I am saddened to learn this, My Sincerest Condolences to the Family. - Bruce Brandy, Newton, NC.

I am sitting here watching 'Yukon Gold', and my favorite virtual "friend", Big Al. Alrhough we never met or talked, Big Al had such a warm, loving, and undeniable personality you just automatically FELT like y'all'd been fast friends since forever. His victories were yours, his sorrows yours too. I fought cancer while watching him on the show, and his energy & dogged determination to nevergive up made him my hero. I cried when I heard his wife passed, and prayed for his own health struggle to be victorious. Sadly, it wasn't. But I shall NEVER forget , even though he's gone now, just HOW happy, and strong, & brave he was. And I will ALWAYS smile a mile wide (like he used to do) whenever I see an episode of 'Yukon Gold' replayed where he is in it, because I will once again be able to help the afternoon roll along by watching & laughing along with my 'virtual friend'. My SINCEREST CONDOLENCES and HEARTFELT LOVE & PRAYERS to his family & friends. Just remember, death is not having to say "Goodbye Forever", just merely "So Long For Now", because I honestly know wewill always be reunited & relinked back with all those people (& animals) that we truly loved once our own time on this big green & blue planet comes to a close. Until then we just honor their memory, keep rhem close in heart, put our feet to the soil, & try to live our life with meaning, with purpose, & with joy along the journey.....doing no harm, helping wherever able, & making all who went before us proud!

I only knew "Big Al" from watching him on episodes of "Yukon Gold", but I always felt he was a good man and we would have been friends had we met in this life.
I always enjoyed Big Al's constant smile, laughing in the face of challenges, and the kind respect he showed to his crew members.
Fortunately, this life is not the end. Big Al is again with his wife and others who have passed on-- and I have high hopes they will all embrace eternal life. I still hope to someday be able to say "Hi" to "Big Al" :)
My condolences to family and friends during this time of change in your lives.

It’s with heavy hearts after watching how those two struggled with smiles on their faces and dreams in their hearts. We thank them for allowing us into their world.

We have been "binge watching" Yukon Gold" . so enjoy Big Al and his Big Smile and words of wisdom. I was in tears last night when he was talking about the passing of his wife Colleen and his battles with his own health. He was old school, kind, hard worker and so appreciated his friend Hiro. In my heart I was wondering about his continued health. You will be missed, and I pray the Lord is with you. Thank you Big Al, your smile and life will be remembered. God Bless you and your family.
