Obituary of Richard Fredrick John Bartels

Rick Bartels was taken from us all too soon. He passed unexpectedly on Sunday April 26.

He will forever be remembered as a man who loved deeply. Spending time with his family is what truly brought him joy. When he wasn’t working, which was not often, he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and the peacefulness of the outdoors. He was always willing to help and laughed hard even when it was at himself.

He was a long time member of our community and a hard working successful business owner who made a lasting impression with those he knew. He considered his employees a part of his family, and thought of many customers and trade partners as friends.

Rick is survived by his wife Krista of 35 years, their children Lindsay, Tyler and Kyle, 4 grandchildren, his parents Fred and Stella, as well as his sister and brother.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date when social distancing is no longer a concern.
