So very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. Some of my earliest memories of her were her cooking for my mom and dad at the Alamo. I still remember her beef stew! She used to let me help her make butter tarts and always made sure I only put 5 raisins in - not 4 or 6, but always 5. Still do it to this day. Irene was always kind and patient with me. I know she will be missed by you all - she was a special lady.
