Obituary of Marian Martha Walker

Mom passed away peacefully March 14, 2021 at the GR Baker Hospital with her 3 children Deanna, Dave and Doug at her side. 

She was born in Kelowna December 12, 1938 her family then moved to Armstrong until the mid-1950’s when with her parents they moved to Quesnel where she met our father David Walker.  She and Dad were happily married 25 years until his sudden passing in April 1984.

Mom was involved in many organizations over the years:  Girl Guides, Toastmistresses, Quesnel Trail and Nature Club, Royal Purple, and the Catholic Women’s League.

Marian was predeceased by her parents John & Elizabeth Schleppe, sisters Betty Patterson, Eva Evans, bothers Bill and Stanley.  She is survived by her 3 children Deanna, Doug (Cory) and Dave (Lisa) their 2 sons Benjamen (Nikki) and Eric (Lise).

A private graveside service officiated by Father Vincent was held March 19, 2021.

The family wishes to thank the incredible ICU & ER nursing staff for their compassion and care that made Mom’s final hours as comfortable as possible.
