Arthur Ivan Ransome

It is with great sadness that we announce that our dad passed away on the morning of April 28th.

Dad slipped away quietly in his sleep with his son Michael at his bedside.

Dad leaves an impressive legacy behind, starting with his children, Randy, Wendi, Chicgaila, and Michael. Then 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A heritage to be proud of.

Dad married mom (Margaret Cloarec) in 1953 and they moved to Quesnel BC where they lived for the remainder of their lives. 

Dad was busy working and raising his children in the earlier days of his life. As we got older, Dad involved himself and his family in stock car racing, baseball and hockey. Driving, coaching and cheering his family on.

Our fondest memories are of dad playing his guitar and singing to his family and friends.

Dad retired at age 65, his children grown and with families of their own. He and mom  enjoyed a snowbird life between Yuma Arizona and Quesnel.

In 2014, Mom, the love of his life passed away.

In his latter years dad struggled with a debilitating disease that lead him to his final sleep.

Over Dad's 89 years a long and wonderful life was lived to the fullest by a equally wonderful man.

You will be missed and will live on in our hearts and memories.

Our family have decided due to Covid precautions to have a Zoom Serve for Dad on May 8th at 1:30 pm.

We would like to thank Dr. Fine and the nurses on 2nd North at Dunrovin Park Lodge for the kindness and care they gave our father.

Our warmest thanks to Cousin Bonnie, Tom and Mike M for keeping dad's faith alive.
