Obituary of Chris Shelley
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Spencer Shelley. Chris was born to Karen and Jack Shelley on July 20, 1960 in Burnaby and passed away May 9, 2021 at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel. He was 60 years old.
In 1984, he moved his family to Quesnel, BC, where he became a logging truck driver for the past 30 years. He had a love for the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Chris always lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a great story teller and always made everyone laugh. Chris was a joy to be around, always lending a helping hand when needed.
Chris’s deepest love was for his kids and grandkids. He was always there to cheer the grandkids on for every sports event.
He is survived by his daughter, Janelle Fouty (Blake), sons Craig Shelley (Mikaela), and Kevin Casorso, grandchildren Gabrielle, Gavin, Isabelle, Jake, Sam and Decklyn, his mother Karen, his brothers, Trevor Simpson (Leona), Alvin Laughlin, many cherished nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins, and extended family and friends, all whom he treasured.
His memory will live on in all of those who were lucky enough to experience his heart and his laugh.
Our family would like to thank everyone who reached out with calls, messages, love and support during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life to honor Chris will be planned for a later date.
