Obituary of Donna Jean Ward

With exceptionally heavy heart, the family of Donna Jean Ward nee (Tom) announce her passing August 2021. She was loved dearly.

Donna was born January 14, 1954 in Lillooet BC to Jimmy Shintah and Florence Thomas, she was the youngest of two daughters.

Donna met Glen Ward in early 1970 in Prince George BC, they moved to Quesnel BC where they soon started a family, they had 5 children together. Donna loved her family and grandchildren.  Donna had an amazing smile and laughter, she was always cheerful and super friendly to anyone she knew or met.

Left to mourn Donna are her husband of 50 years Glen Ward, daughters Lindsay(Darryl) Ward, Michelle(Robert) Kent, Andrea(Mike) Ward, and son Brian Ward. She also leaves behind her 11 beloved grandchildren; Landon and Hayden Russell, Riley, Colby and Colton Kastrukoff, Matisha, Chastity and Aubree Ward, Bentley, Lilly-Anna, and Madalynn Ward. As well as many Aunties, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and many other friends and family members that loved her.

She also leaves behind her loyal and loving cat of 11 years Princess.

Donna is predeceased by her Parents Florence Thomas(May,1957), Jimmy Shintah (Dec,1957), Son Lloyd Glen Ward (June 13, 1993), and Sister Judiath Thomas (Jan, 2013).

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Whisper in the forest,

wind in the tree,

let me go in silence

let me be free

the birds a song singing,

the butterflies swinging

the warm sunshine so warm,

takes me softly in the great spirits arm

under my feet the grass feels, gently

and the great spirit leads me friendly

moon and the stars coming in the night

I am not afraid, they give me light

I can sleep peacefully and in a dream dive,

Oh Great Spirit, I am grateful

for my life!
