Sorry to hear he is gone , grew up with Pete back around Belleville back in the late 70s , we always had something going , sounds like he didn’t change his ways over the years l Borrowed him some money for a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am , and headed west myself .

Father, I cannot even begin to tell you the gratitude that I have for you as my father. As a young man, you brought me into the construction world which completely transformed me into the person I am today. You taught me many of the tricks of the trade not only in construction but in life. I will never forget all the memories we shared from heading out to wells every weekend to go snowmobiling, all the early morning get ups to head to the mills for work and the many hours driving back home together after our long stints away. The many hunting trips, river boat adventures, mining and more. You taught me that no matter what you do in this life you do it right the first time. You taught me how to navigate through the really hard times. Teaching me how to weld, stand steel, build stairs, pour concrete and more, these skills I will always have in my life and I now know that I will never be out of work and can always provide for my self and my family some day. I'm certainly not looking at this not as a goodbye, as I know you are here, by my side, guiding me through your spirit and that I will see you up there some day. I love you Dad. Sincerely, Richard

To my Father in law;
Thankyou for accepting me into this family with open arms. I bounced into your life and literally onto your couch as a young 15 year old girl who was crazy about your son. You and Jodie included me in all the fun from there on in. Even when I ate your last peice of pie in the middle of the night…I’m glad I was able to make you a Grandfather, my heart breaks that our boys won’t grow up with Papa Pete around. I know you had so much more to teach them. But we will keep your spirit alive in all that we do, and make sure they knew how much you loved them. Thank you for raising such a talented capable man that I’m lucky to call my husband. Thankyou for all the amazing memories from Jet boating up rapid rivers, paning gold in the cottonwood canyon and all the hunting adventures in between. You were at the head of every good adventure, always thinking up a new possibility. You had the ability to literally take people off the side of the road and turn them into life long friends. I was always amazed how you formed connections and always without any technology! You really are one of a kind, you will be incredibly missed and forever remembered.
When I pick up a Gold Pan, I will always think of you and smile.
Xoxox, your loving daughter in law

We will never forget time spent with Pete, Jodie and the boys. Wonderful times from meeting in Mexico all the way to the Gold mines of Quesnel. He was a special person who loved his family with all he had and shared joy with all of his friends. We are honored to call him a friend. Rest easy Pete and enjoy all the baconos you want. Love Michael and Sharon Henderson
