Randy was a good friend, and he fought his disease so hard and won over and over and gained so much time in his fight for his family and friends while keeping a positive outlook. Randy was a mentor to many West Fraser foresters and a master operator. He will be missed greatly.

So sorry for your loss and heartfelt condolences to the family. Randy was a good man. I had the good fortune of meeting Randy through my work with West Fraser as harvest operations supervisor. Randy was an exceptional contractor and operator. I always felt good starting a block with him because I knew he’d do great work. He took pride in his work and when he was finished a block would ask, “What do you think? Doesn’t it look like a park?” and it was always true. He pushed us forward and showed us what was possible with different harvesting techniques and equipment, and has left a legacy of his outstanding work as a gift for us to enjoy. We had lots of laughs, navigated lots of challenges, and in the end shared a great friendship that I will always hold with me. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Our deepest sympathy to Randy's family and friends. He lived the way he wanted, and would not have changed any thing. He was surrounded by good friends and family, which meant the world to him. His wonderful sister, Val and brother-in-law Dave, celebrated his life and his goals with him. He will be missed by all back home. Sending hugs and prayers to everyone connected to Randy.
