Obituary of Peggy Lea Heaton
Peggy Lea Heaton
It is with profound sadness that the family of Peggy Lea Heaton announces her passing at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital on October 25, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends.
Peggy was born in Quesnel on November 25, 1976. She was the second of three children born to Bill and Marilyn Heaton. As a child Peggy was a bright, sweet blue eyed blonde who loved her troll collection and everything tiny. This included a love a small animals which she carried on into her adult years. She often had cats and kittens running around as well as a myriad of other critters.
As a young adult Peggy discovered her love of cooking and baking as she worked as a cook in many local restaurants. When Peggy had each of her four children she absolutely loved creating their chosen birthday cake…making each one as special as each of her children.
Peggy also loved to try new things. She loved to travel and try exciting adventures while she was exploring. Throughout her years she often had great ideas for businesses. She and her partner Troy Perlitz built Warrior Paintball which was very popular. She also started catering and cake decorating and had begun to get together all the tools she would need to start up.
Peggy loved spending time with her children and grandson crafting, cooking, decorating her home for various holidays and doing puzzles. You could often find her watching classic film stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn or an episode of Friends. You may also find her out in the yard gardening...she loved to grow her own herbs for cooking. Recently she also found a great love of kayaking and could be often found paddling around a lake.
Peggy leaves behind her daughters Kori (Sam), Samantha (Marc), Jessica, and son Allister. Her mother Marilyn, sister Patricia (Mike) and brother Will (Anne Marie). She will also be missed by her adored grandson Greyson, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Peggy was predeceased by her dad Bill Heaton, grandparents Bill, Pat, Don, Yvonne and Aunts Donna, Bonnie, and Marcie, and ex fiancé Troy Perlitz.
Peggy will be remembered as a fun loving, hardworking, adoring grandma, and a beautiful dreamer. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
