Obituary of Wesley Eugene Belland

Family of Wesley Belland sadly announce his passing the morning of Sunday April 2nd, 2023 — only a week after his mother Katherine (Kai) Jasper.

Growing up with a love for surfing, guns, Lego, fish (even a Lego fish tank!) - he will be missed not just by family  and friends, but by his care team that he very much loved like family. 

Despite all of life’s hurdles, he always saw the silver lining in things and loved life. 

Wes would do anything for those he worked with or cared about — Receiving the Governor Generals Medal of Bravery in 2008 along with several other coworkers was just a small glimpse at this.

Remembered by his father, Leo Belland; his siblings: Jonathan, Karina and Shane Gibson along with extended family and friends, may he rest in peace.

There will be no service but thoughts and memories may be shared.
