Obituary of Vernon Richard Ernest Murphy

Vernon Richard Ernest Murphy passed away on May 30, 2023 at the age of 77.

He is survived by his daughters Tammy (Darrell) and Tracy (Matt), three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Vern was born in Trail, BC on September 22, 1945,  although he spent most of his life in the Quesnel area. In his younger days, he enjoyed working on his brother in-law's race car, playing softball and plucking on the guitar. Later in life, he coached his daughters' softball teams, rode motorcycles and was passionate about stock car racing. He worked for West Fraser for over four decades and brought his patience and sense of fairness to those he led as Head Saw Filer.

His family wishes to let his friends and family know that Vern's finally resting place will be on Pioneer Trail in the Tranquility Gardens in Quesnel.
