Obituary of Glenda Joan James

In Memory of Glenda Joan James(Arbuckle)

October 16, 1939-August 28, 2023

Glenda was born to James and Julianna Arbuckle in Edson Alberta, she was one of four children. Mom came to Quesnel at a young age and made Quesnel her home.

Mom worked at Sears for over 40 years, working her way up to Assistant Manager, she loved her job and was known for her customer service, often staying after hours to have parcels ready for pickup the next day. Meeting lots of  people, she was known as the face of Sears. Mom loved skiing and would often take a grandchild with her to Jasper where her sister Linda lived. In her sixties she took up snowboarding, Mom also tried skydiving and had the time of her life. Never afraid to take on a new challenge, by  raising money for the Child Development Center by shaving her hair off. Mom was a big part of our lives and she will be deeply missed.

Glenda was predeceased by parents James and Julianna Arbuckle, brother Kenny, sisters Eilleen , Linda, son in law Robert Kristiansen. Survived by daughters Linda Lorance (James) Heather Kristiansen, puppy Jax, sister in law Patricia Arbuckle, many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Justin, Crystal (Denis) Lane, Jamie (Vinnie). Great grandchildren Hunter, Arianna, Isabella. Best Friend Glady Nelson.
