Obituary of Beverly Lust
In loving memory of Margaret Beverly “Bev” Lust
After having won so many skirmishes, our beloved mother/sister/grandmother/auntie/friend lost her battle with Cancer on November 22, 2023 – her 83rd birthday. She was determined to see her birthday and made it! She always loved it when a plan came together.
Bev loved her family fiercely and she kept her friends very close. Among her favourite things: her siblings, her grandchildren, family gatherings, movie nights with her girlfriends, happy hours with her neighbours and traveling to new places. Bev never met a gift shop she didn’t like! She also had a soft spot for kitchen do-dads and was affectionately known as “Mrs. Gadget” by her family. Bev was also fond of putting things back in their proper place and always knew where her keys were. She was relentless about washing hands and unforgiving of shoddy customer service.
Bev’s quick smile, full laugh and awesome hugs will long be remembered by those who now mourn her loss. Her children, Carmone and David (Monica); her grandchildren, Jessica, Chad, Cameron and Courtney and her great-granddaughter, Ayva; her sisters Judy (Bob) and Nancy (Terry) and her brothers Tom (Barb) and Bob (Lynne) and, of course, her many nieces and nephews.
Waiting for her someplace where the towels better be folded properly are her loving husband Spike, her brother Dale and her parents, Evelyn and Otto, as well as the many family members lost and friends she made over the years that predeceased her.
Celebration of life to be held on December 9, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Quesnel, from 3:30 – 5:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bev’s name to the Quesnel and District Hospice Palliative Care Association.
