Obituary of Nancy Jospehine Hanson
Nancy was born on December 27, 1945, in Hannibal Missouri to Ted and Pearl Sapp. She lived in the United States until 1960 when the family moved to Black Creek BC, outside of Horsefly BC. After she moved to Black Creek, she spent her time working on farms and trapping with her father.
Nancy met Gail while working as a farmhand and trapper for the Williams. They started dating and within three months they married on October 18, 1964. Nancy and Gail had four children Jody, Ray, and Jerry; Polly passed away at birth. They made their home in Quesnel BC where they lived until she passed away.
Nancy’s adventures as a homemaker including being a scout leader, a brownie leader, making many different crafts with her hands and spent many hours gold mining at their mine. She was a mother and friend to many children.
We always enjoyed listening to her stories from her life and her families’ lives. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Nancy’s boundless love for Jesus Christ and her giving nature has ensured that she will live on in heaven and in the hearts and minds of those she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband Gail, daughter Jody (Darrell), Ray (Tina) and Jerry (Dana). Her grandchildren Steven (Keri), Holly (Jesse), Rayden, Sheldon, and Rowan, her three great grandsons Elias, Noah, and Jonathon, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
