Obituary of Leandra Carlalea Dougall
Carlalea was born in November 17th 1976. She is survived by her parents, Corey-anne and Clark, her son Leander, and her two older brothers, Shane and Corey. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Oren, Scarlette, and Alexander.
At the age of 16, Carlalea was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease. Over time, her condition worsened, necessitating at least 14 surgeries in an attempt to manage it, with minimal success. Despite experiencing extreme pain on a daily basis, Carlalea always hid her suffering behind a smile, remaining positive for the sake of her son Leander. She understood his concern and didn't want him to worry about her every day.
Carlalea cherished her time with her grandchildren, especially during the five months she spent caring for Leander's three children by herself. She was a proud grandmother, often taking them for long walks and trips to the park. In her leisure time, she enjoyed hiking, quadding with Leander, hunting with her dad Clark, fishing, and participating in bingo nights with her mom.
Carlalea's absence will be deeply felt by Leander, Corey-anne, and Clark. It is often said that God takes the best people at the worst times. Our hearts go out to Carlalea's family, and our prayers are with her as well.
