Anyone wishing to honour Jean's life in the form on a charitable donation, may do so to The Special Olympics, a cause that meant so very much to her.
Sue Gee Jean Scriver (nee Cho), "Jean" is the loving daughter to Tze and Lai Cho and is the first born child in Vancouver, BC. Jean is the big sister to brothers David, Leon, Freddy and Sonny and the loving aunt to all nephews.
Jean is the daughter-in-law to Janet Gray and sister-in-law to Cheryl, Lorna, Jeanette and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Jean lived in Alberta and BC and while settled in Williams Lake, met Martin Scriver in 1998. She met Martin through Special Olympics, fell in love and moved that year to live with the man she loved. In 2006, Martin proposed and an August 5th wedding took place at the Friendship Center with friends and family.
Jean's infectious smile could be seen all around Quesnel. She was always willing to help in any way possible for anyone. She was a tireless raffle ticket seller whom would at times sell the most tickets for whatever events she would participate in.
Jean volunteered selflessly to our local hockey teams, security for events, electing politicians and various charities.
Organizing and running meetings for the Self Advocates is where she excelled in her communications skills to support others.
Jean was a skillful bowler for Special Olympics and went to the Nationals in Vancouver in 2014. She also enjoyed curling at our local rink. She loved those trips out of town and would pack the minute she was told she was on the list. It is here that she met others and made many more friendships.
As an employee, Jean was always ready and willing to work. Working for the Correlieu Cafeteria and then Tim Horton's so she could meet and greet her "Coffee" family every morning.
The theatre for Kersley Players is where she shone bright as an extra in many plays, her smile lit up the whole stage and production. Always eager to be there and help others. Jean's hobbies included, reading, movies, Facebook and crocheting items for friends and pets.
Jean is pre-deceased by her father, Tze Ngough Cho.
Martin would like to say: "You are the love of my life and I cherish our memories and love you forever!".
