Obituary of Larry N. Crain

Larry Crain passed away Dec 25 2024 at the age of 71. Larry was born in Idaho Dec 15 1953, third in line to 4 boys. At a young age they packed up everything and moved to Alaska to homestead, had many adventures with his rambunctious brothers (much to his moms dismay) then moved to Quesnel as a teenager. He never missed a day of school, although he did get detention once for throwing a snowball ;)  After graduation he attended Fairview College were he made life long friends and he often reminisced of all the shenanigans college life brought.

More adventures ensued traveling to the states specifically Reno and Disney land more than once with his best friend on spring and summer breaks. He finally met his love Dianne in Quesnel and shortly after started his own family. Welcoming one son (Alan) and two daughters (Amanda “Missy” and Teisha), quickly teaching them his adventurous ways. His many friends will attest to his “adoptive spirit”, if you knew him, you were family and he was not sparse with his affection, he showed his love through action, attention and the teaching of adventure! His hugs were healing and numerous! He lived with no regrets, what he wanted to do he did! From floating down rivers, climbing mountains, hunting, fishing camping, getting stuck, driving his sled or quad too fast, honestly we are quite surprised he lived this long!

He had his stoke while doing what he loved, beside one of his best friends, his entire family, blood and adopted were able to say goodbye and for that we are blessed. He would not dwell on death but he hated to see suffering so we are very glad he left us without pain. We love you and will miss you DAD, papa, friend….. Larry!
